History:
Needle Artworks was formed in 1998 to provide:

* An economical and efficient connection for teachers/shops and stitchers
* Creative, challenging and self-directed patterns/projects and materials to the "sophisticated needleworker"
* A resource for quality and unusual materials
* A vehicle for needleworkers to access timeless designs of national teachers
* Increased awareness of the needle arts and educational opportunities via Cyber Classes.

Participation:
All designers have submitted their projects/patterns for review prior to inclusion on www.needleartworks.com to maintain high standard of accuracy and quality for customers. Cyber Classes:
Cyber Classes are another innovative opportunity for designers to teach and promote their designs. Needle Artworks offers this communication tool to increase profits and reduce stress by:

· Reaching a world-wide audience,
· Reducing or eliminating mailing headaches,
· Eliminating guild, regional, and national guidelines and timetables,
· Eliminating kitting (if desired) while adding stay-at-home convenience for you and the students.

You determine: the format of the Cyber Class, the duration of the class, the price, the maximum/minimum number of students, the number of lessons, and whether to offer to critique students completed pieces.

Cyber Class Procedures:

The Designer/Teacher:

1. Develops the Cyber Class and advertises it on www.needleartworks.com with his/her e-mail for enrollments and additional information. There should be a brief descriptive paragraph including the:

Number of lessons/sessions
Price and· E-mail address so the student can contact you for more specific information and enrollment.
2. Establishes the class schedule, the number of lessons, and when each lesson will be available to the student.
3. Sends the appropriate files to Jennifer 21days prior to the start of the class for formatting and graphic integration/optimizing on the Cyber Class web pages
4. E-mails the web site address to the enrolled students.
The students will be able to visit the web pages and print or download the Cyber Class files at their convenience 24/7. The completed class lessons will be archived so the students can review/print them as well for the period specified by the Designer/Teacher.

Cyber Class Pricing:

* Set-up Fee $75.00 for 1 - 10 pages (more than 10 pages = $2.00 each additional page)
* $.50 /page/month fee* (Example 20 pages x $.50 = $10/month); each PDF file = 1 page
* 30 K maximum size per page
* Page size = 8.5" x 11"
* Includes space for a promotional 2" image and 50 word description

*Note: There is $60.00/year minimum for the instructions per class; scans of text per page, photos, negatives: $5.00/each; optimizing GIF & JPEG images: $5.00/each

File Formats:
There are two options for preparing your Cyber Class files. You may choose one or both.

OPTION A - WEB PAGES
Cyber Class files will be formatted as HTML pages with JPEG or GIF images
Send Jennifer the text and/or graphic files and a hard copy of each of the pages.
Timeline: Please allow three weeks for formatting, uploading, and your approval of your Cyber Class pages.

OPTION B - PDF FILES
Designers need the Adobe Acrobat software to prepare these files. Students can download Adobe Acrobat Reader free from www.adobe.com. Then the students can download the formatted instruction pages directly from your web pages. This is a universal format and can be read by PC's or Mac's.
Timeline: Please allow three weeks for uploading your PDF files to the site and your approval of your Cyber Class pages.
