ASK34: Kokopelli - The Merry Minstrel |
![]() |
This legendary
humpbacked flutist from Anasazi folklore is a popular southwestern motif.
In this interpretation the usual solid primitive silhouette has been transformed
to a simple Assisi style outline for the body; the clothing is richly embellished
with two composite patterns in traditional southwestern shades of russet
with bright blue accents.
The decorative Indian inspired partial border is executed totally in Rhodes stitch with backstitched details, and the background area is filled with an original open pattern that echoes the diamonds in the border. |
