#ASK8: Oriental
Butterfly
 |
|
This elegant butterfly can be interpreted
in any monochromatic color scheme, and three specific options
are listed in the instruction booklet. The techniques explored
include padding, couching, shading, and pulled thread. Two of
the patterns are also beaded, including the background arrangement,
which appears to be darning but the sequence has been altered
to a back stitch path that secures the beads better and also
eliminates the visibility of the traveling threads. Finished
