Grandmother's Fan is an art nouveau adaptation of an old quilt pattern that you have probably seen many times. It was very popular in the 1700's, and enjoyed a revival in the crazy quilt style in the 1800's. Your fan will be stitched in silk or cotton floss with beads on 25 count Lugana. You will begin with the corner 'eye' and continue with 6 sections bounded by 'ribs', and will finally finish with a lacy background and border. |
