Enjoy creating a basket band of thirteen variations of the eight Pointed Star quilt block on # 18 canvas using beautiful values of violet, teal, rose, gray, red-violet and green. A wide variety of stitches including composite are used to duplicate quilt fabrics - plaids, plains, small and large prints, calicoes and stripes. These stitches in six stranded cotton support the design by creating on canvas a replica of the fabric design. A wide border with bar crossed corner blocks links each star pattern together. A plaited stitch surrounds each quilt block. Freshen up your sewing kit and get everything together in a basket with a colorful band in which you can be proud to carry all your "necessities" to meetings and workshops.
