Create your own colonial Herb Garden complete with brick walk, parsley border and a knot garden. Based on designs of old herb gardens, you will plant your beds of colorful herbs with a variety of interesting stitches using DMC six strand cotton, Danish flower thread, Marlitt and pen-wiped Medici. A dark ground sets off blossoms, stems and roots. Information on each herb is given and an extensive bibliography is included. Herb Garden is shown in Thomasina Beck's book, The Embroiderer's Garden and was written up in Needle Arts Magazine. |
