GMD19: Bergen Baskets |

Bergen Baskets is designed for a stitcher's garden. The actual geometric design is based on the old quilt block, Christmas Star, and the canvas quilt is inspired by a quilt block by Sharyn Craig. Twelve different baskets are stitched in the lovely values of the DMC 500 green family, some with accents of rose/red, surrounded by exposed canvas. A star in charcoal sets off the four "postage stamp" baskets. In the eight heart-shaped areas around the outside we have "planted" flower beds. Diagrams are given for all, but the stitcher is encouraged to add her own blossoms and choice of colors. A wide three-layer border is enclosed by a Double Fishbone narrow border in floss overdyed. |
