A Tree for All Seasons may be familiar to many as the ANG fall 2007 Workshop-by-Mail selection. It is a re-design of an old piece of Genny's that capitalizes on the wonderful array of threads available today. The pathway is surrounded by four “log cabin” trees dressed in the seasonal colors of Pennsylvania where Genny resided. Winter is represented by varied greys and charcoals with a touch of snow and a hint of mauve suggesting spring soon to follow. Spring shows the delicate pink of magnolia and the off-white flowering of Bradford pear trees. Summer boasts many shades and values of green. Fall bursts forth in brilliant yellows and golds. All logs are six threads wide and vary in length with the exception of the center which is eight threads square. All centers are the same stitch; all tree trunks and grass areas are identical.
