Pansies are a timeless favorite of most Japanese embroidery students and the phase they look forward to with great anticipation. This fresh new look at a traditional favorite is smaller, but just as challenging. Students will study the ancient art of shading and learn the precise and random long and short techniques. Each completed masterpiece will be unique as students choose their own pansy colors and placement in consultation with Jennifer and Diane.

Prework:	Framing up, transferring the design with a Japanese running stitch, removing the design tissue and preliminary pansy color planning.
