Jennifer Ashley Taylor Image Jennifer Ashley Taylor has studied the Kurenai-Kai Japanese embroidery techniques with Shay Pendray for 14 years. She designed the first four phase pieces she now teaches at both Callaway sessions each year. Jennifer studied graphic arts, interior design, and color at several colleges and universities. She has studied Japanese embroidery with two other Sensei, including artist Koyo Kida from Kyoto, Japan. Ms. Taylor holds the EGA Master Craftsman Certification in Color for Embroidery. In 1997, she was named the Sun Region's Teacher of the Year. Jennifer teaches Japanese embroidery at Retreats in Naples Florida and needlework guilds and seminars nationwide. She recently retired as the staff photographer and graphic artist for needlepoint now magazine and also as the chief photographer for the National Academy of Needlearts. Jennifer is the owner and webmaster of www.needleartworks.com, a website with more than 900 pages.
