Sample Teaching and Lecture Contract

This contract is entered into between Jennifer Ashley Taylor (hereinafter called Teacher) and ____________ (hereinafter called Organization).

Terms of the contract are as follows:

Class Project:	_________________________________

Class Dates:	_________________________________
Teaching Fee:	$300.00/day
Kit Fee:	$___.00 per student; any other materials requested by the Organization are an additional expense Kit will contain sufficient materials to assure each student can complete stitching the project, plus at least 10% overage
Transportation & Meal Reimbursement:	Round trip coach air fare from the Teacher's home to the instruction location All meals, ground transportation at $.35/mile, and tips incurred while the Teacher is traveling and during teaching days
Instruction Time per Day:	Approximately six teaching hours per day One hour lunch break One 15 minute break in the morning One 15 minute break in the afternoon
Maximum Number of Students:	___, without consent of the Teacher
Teaching Location:	Provided without charge to the Teacher
Teaching Aids Needed for the Classroom:	Teacher: Blackboard, chalk, eraser, & 8' display table
Lodging Reimbursement:	$75.00 per day or actual cost of motel room, whichever is less.
Meals:	All meals and tips while the Teacher is teaching
Teacher Notification of Student List:	Teacher must receive written notification by __________ of the names of all registered students; color choice is or is not applicable for this project
Kit Fee Payment:	One half the total kit fee per student must be received by _____________. Otherwise the Organization agrees to reschedule of the class to a mutually agreeable date to allow sufficient time to get the required materials for the project.
Kit Shipping:	The Teacher plans to travel with the kits to the instruction location. If the Organization elects to have the kits shipped in advance, then the Organization agrees to be responsible for:
	The shipping costs
	Providing a shipping address, name of a contact and telephone number,
	Notifying the Teacher when the kits arrive, and
	Assuring the kits arrive at the teaching location at the proper time for the class.
Class Cancellation by the Organization:	If the class is cancelled by the Organization after _________, the Organization agrees to pay the Teacher 50% of the instruction fees ($_______); 50% of the kit fees ordered for the class; 100% reimbursement of any out-of-pocket expenses, and 100% reimbursement for the airline ticket, if applicable.
Class Cancellation by the Teacher:	If the Teacher cancels the class due to illness or an emergency, the Organization and Teacher agree to reschedule the class for the first mutually agreeable date.
Class & Kit Advertising:	The Organization agrees the kits will be advertised at the contract rate, Jennifer Ashley Taylor will be listed as the Teacher, and to use the name of the project,___________. The Organization agrees to forward a copy of all advertising to the Teacher.
