| Excerpt from Victoria's diary..."Looking back on my childhood, the Christmas season and its activities brings the warmest memories. I remember my outing with Papa to pick the biggest, fullest tree for our parlor. The excitement mounted as we strung cranberry garlands and unpacked handmade ornaments. But the highlight of the day was putting the star on the very top of the tree. Papa always called it Victoria's star." Although creating a silhouette is the traditional method of interpreting this design, you might enjoy Assisi as well (left mirror image). The design is 11.5" round on 14 count fabric. The model was stitched on 32 count linen over one thread (5" round). Instructions include four 8.5" x 11" graphs for easy reading and a color photograph. |
