Everyone who sees the pansies stitched with flat silk raves how beautiful they are. But they are difficult to stitch until you know the secrets to make them as delightful as those we have seen stitched over the years. Many of us take Japanese embroidery just so we can get to this phase so it's important to know how to stitch each pansy petal, i.e. the number of strands and the needle to use. All instructions are in color with large illustrations and easy-to-read text. I love Jennifer's Petite Pansies design with the dimensional, partially open flowers. Even though it's smaller than the design introduced several years ago, it is still intimidating. With the step-by-step instructions, I can approach stitching each petal with confidence. |
