What's different about this flat silk? First, it has 16 sugas rather than 12 so you get one-third more in every strand and every 60 meter tube. Therefore you cover more ground with each stitch. Second, most of the colors are clear, bright hues rather than the more grayed ones we often had to settle for in the past. Third, each tube is individually wrapped. But instead of having to tear the wrapper off, most of these wrappers slide on and off the tube to keep the silk crisp and clean and free of fuzzies between uses. Fourth, the sheen and luster is unsurpassed because the longest filament silk is used. As monitors display colors so differently, there is a list of all colors with a color description and closest DMC floss numbers to help you with your selections. Also, if you click on the underlined number next to the description, a separate window will open with the colors in that family (similar to the one to the left). |
