We all get a little frustrated when we have to take out weft foundation stitches because they are too close at the top and too wide at the bottom or vice versa.(See illustrations above.) These rulers were developed to help you “see” if this is happening. They are also perfect tools to substantially reduce the time it takes to measure repeated 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 mm increments. Uses include:
- Marking divisions on the design to assure the proper spacing (Example: Woven Effect)
- Marking guidelines in the design area to be sure stitching is parallel to the weft threads.
- Checking or establishing 90º angles to a base foundation (Example: Central braid technique)
- Checking or establishing millimeter divisions for superimposed stitching (Example: Lattice holding)
In addition to four rulers with mm divisions, there is a quarter inch scale ruler for uses with other embroidery. The five rulers come with a template holder sheet and a color instruction sheet. |
