Victorian Bonnet fits an 8” x 6” frame and is a chart pak of detailed instructions. The stitcher will choose from several color combinations or create her own. Canvas is padded and appliquéd to the ground fabric to add dimension and to provide a foundation for the brick-stitched bonnet. The flowers are worked on a slip which is padded before being appliquéd as the colorful band. A hibiscus is made from pastel chiffon and worked with wire then attached to the bonnet. After the petals are arranged as desired, a pistil is put in place, with wire and beads adding a realistic element.
Each step of the project is detailed. The stitches are also fully explained and diagrammed for any level of embroiderer.
